Sir Odie Frisco Jones Abbott
Sir Odie Frisco Jones Abbott
born 12-9-94 passed away 5-6-08
He was my little man and I will miss him deeply. The only comfort I have is knowing he is not suffering and in pain any longer. He lived a long and for the most part healthy life. He was full of energy and always wanted to play. He loved being around kids and loved the energy from them. I would like to thank Dr. Rose and the staff at Parkville Heights Animal Hospital for everything they have done over the last 13 years for Frisco and me.

Addie in your short life you were able to touch the hearts of so many people. You will be missed and we will always love you!

Mackenzie Alexander
Mackenzie Alexander
February 17, 1994 to March 18, 2009
Dogs have a way of weaving themselves into the fiber of your being. Once they are gone, a piece of you goes with them. Even though we had our loyal companion for 15 years, we were not ready for him to leave us. Mackenzie allowed me the the much needed pleasure of being a "Mom" long before it was my time to have children. When our children were born he loved and accepted them gently and patiently. He was also very helpful in cleaning up after them at mealtime! Mackenzie followed me everywhere I went and I will forever miss the comfort of having him near. He will remain in our hearts as a part of our family forever.

This picture shows that when the first child is a girl, everyone in the house needs to look "fancy" (even boys)!

In Memory of

WHISKAS Bailey
1991 to 2007
My son and I saw WHISKAS be born & he named her whiskas due to her large white whiskers. She gave us love and companionship through both the good & difficult times. She lived to be 16 years old & enjoyed a fine life.

Chama Chama
Bridgette
2001 - September 23, 2008
We adopted you from Animal Haven when you were 2 years old. You immediately fell in love with Buster and he became your "brother". The two of you were inseparable.
You were feisty but so sweet. You did such funny things and always made us laugh. You loved kisses, belly rubs, teasing your brother, and chasing squirrels. Five years was not enough time to spend with you. It went too fast but we feel blessed that we were able to spoil you and have you in our lives.
A special thanks to Melissa and her staff for making your last days comfortable.
You will always be our "little baby sissy girl". We will forever love you and miss you.

Love,
Dad, Mom, and Buster

Branco

We were blessed to have had such a very special police canine for 10 years. Branco had quite a personality and an uncanny sixth sense. Thank you Dr. Barr for all your years of helping us take care of him. We always knew you really cared about him.

Molly Barrett
Molly Barrett
1992 to 10/20/08
A.K.A. Pumpkin Pie, The Pumpkin Flower, Aunt Molly, Mrs. Molly, The Molly Laura, Miss Margaret Amore

Former Boston area super model, known far and wide as a very special, calm and cool kitty, She was always on call for the North Shore Grooming School - specializing in bathing, shaving, combing, cuts and blow dry styles ! Extremely photogenic with a one-of-kind face, she was as kind as she was beautiful.

Living in the midwest since 2003, she served as the supreme CEO (and founder) of litte W.P.P.P.A. (wild pussycat panty party association) and co-chaired the scratch scratch BANG! Chapter for her auntie Ruth in Lawerance KS.

Sadly missed by Miss Katie, whow she raised as her own, and Miss Sunny Peach, whom she taught how to drink from the faucet in her last weeks.

A hole in my heart and soul, but filled with your love til I see you again.

With love and kisses Mommie

P.S. To Dr Melissa Rose and all of the wonderful, caring staff at Parkville Heights , my gratitude and thanks for the best care ever and I know she loved you too.

My handsome, loving, loyal Feo Feo wanting to play ball Feo grooming sister Ava
Feo Clark
March 4, 1998-September 14, 2009
Little did I know 11 1/2 years ago when my daughter rescued two little puppies from being taken to the shelter and I would be feeling such a sense of loss upon losing the ugly one that no one would take. I could not bring myself to name a puppy ugly, as that is what everyone called this little guy, so we came up with the name Feo, spanish for ugly. It sounded much classier. Feo grew into a very handsome, loving, and loyal companion. He was always there for me in good and bad times with his unconditional love. All he ever wanted was to be with me and to play ball. He loved his tennis balls! I will forever miss his love and presence in my life and so will his canine sister Ava. Thank you Feo for blessing us with your love. Mom

Carsick
Carsick
I can say he was a very intelligent and unique dog. He was quite well known by our neighbors, our friends, friends of our children and some of his exploits were described as "legendary". He had no fear and would have protected us to his death. As with all pets, he loved us unconditionally and we knew he would no matter what kind of day we had or circumstances of the day. He was a good dog, a good companion and a good friend. I miss him and always will.

Chama
Chama
Sept. 1992 Wayside Waifs - February 27, 2008
What I said above about her name; also in Spanish it means "little lass or little girl". We loved her for sixteen years. Her temperament was not the best around strangers and little children, but with us, she was loving and always there as she didn't sleep during the day like most cats do. We will never forget Chama

Camille Cain
Camille Cain
May 1996 - May 4, 2009
Camille was born in Baton Rouge, LA. She was rescued from deplorable conditions when she came to live with us. Camille passed away at the Parkville Heights Animal Hospital in Parkville, MO on Monday, May 4, 2009 in the arms of her mother. Camille brought more joy to our lives than anyone could imagine. She had a wonderful personality. Her life wasn't nearly long enough and hopefully one day there will be a cure for cancer. Camille is survived by her mother Telsea; sister's and brother Ashley, Keegan, Hailey and Hannah; grandparents; Deloris and Gary Paterson, Aunt and Uncle; Stacy and Shawn Leonard; Cousin's; Carolyn and Christian Leonard. Camille will always be missed. Her love and loyalty was indescribable. I will cherish her memory the rest of my life. Special thanks to Dr. Barr and the staff at the Parkville Heights Animal Hospital for their concern and compassion. Contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City.

Sir Sparky Edwards Sir Sparky Edwards
Sir Sparky Edwards
June 12, 1991 - March 3, 2008
Sparky came into our lives February 26, 1992, just after Pat became disabled. He spent his life making us happy, performing his tricks, licking away our tears, never meeting a stranger (no guard dog was he), and generally being just what a 'dog' is suppose to be: 'God' spelled backwards. His love was unconditional, he was always forgiving of bad moods and being ignored once in a great while. We cannot put into words how much we miss him, but we've received calls and cards from so many people who's lives he touched. He was unique and will be in our hearts forever. Thank you to Dr. Rose and all the people there who took such good care of Sparky and of us during this heartbreaking time. We will enjoy sitting at Rolling Hills and remembering our 'little boy'. Sonny Hees
September 19, 1993- July 10, 2008
Sonny was a wonderful dog with a fantastic personality! He was a comfort during hard times in our life and always made us laugh. Our whole church loved him..he was called "the church dog" because he would always walked up with us and greet people. And on certain days you could find him wondering around the main floor because someone would have left a door open. :) He was such a great friend and he will be missed VERY VERY much. We love you sonny!

But we tried to give you everything you needed and you had a happy life. Yogi my great little travel companion, especially when you wore your goggles! I miss your floppy ears and happy smile. You are at peace now, no more seizures and no more falling. Rest well my buddy. Much love from your Mom.

Taco, we loved you so much. You brought so much happiness and joy into our lives. You were no trouble. You could sense when either of us were feeling low or hurting and you would come to comfort us. You would'nt rest until you knew we were all together and safe. But the thing we loved the most about you Taco, was that you were so beautiful, so pretty. And you knew it. Some people would call it an "Attitude", but by being so close to you; we knew what it really was. DIGNITY! You had it to the very end. Our hearts are broken. Be there Taco, when each of of comes; meet us at the Golden Gates, we are, and always will be your family. Love you, Mom and Dad

Squirt and Purrcy Panter Squirt and Purrcy Panter
Squirt and Purrcy Panter
PURRCY, our orange tabby, was our beloved family member from 1989, when he was found abandoned as a flea-infested kitten beside a back road, until he passed after living with kidney failure for over a year, on 11/8/07. The PHAC staff showed great caring towards him through his illness. SQUIRT, a black female cat who came into our lives in 1993 as the oldest of 3 kittens, from 2 different litters, by a feral cat who led her family to us to care for, passed on 6/26/08 from a short battle with cancer. She and her 3 black relative cats had adjusted to living harmoniously as indoor cats, along with the family cats Purrcy and Jay Jay, a Siamese, when we adopted them too and moved to our current residence in the mid-1990's. Squirt kept to herself a lot and had her special hiding places in our townhome, but was also "meowie-mouthy" and adorable. The vets at PHAC and VSEC were very caring and did their best to help Squirt, but sadly her illness had spread too much before it was detected for her to be saved. Even though we have newer feline friends to care for and love, Purrcy and Squirt will always be close to our hearts in memory, as are our others we have lost. (In the early group photo, Purrcy is on the table and Squirt is on the countertop).

Shadow

February 2003 to October 13, 2008

Shadow was adopted from Wayside Ways at 2 months old. We named her Shadow and she lived up to her name. Never a moment passed that she was not hot on your heels, weather it be to the bathroom, laundry room, or kitchen. She always enjoyed when we got home from work, after eating she looked forward to her daily walk on the tread mill and then follow dad out to the mail box to get the days mail. Shadow was more than just a pet she was our child and we loved her dearly. Shadow will be missed.

With all our love:

Tyson Mike, Wilkowski
Tyson Mike, Wilkowski
2003-2009
In Loving Memory
Tyson walked into our lives in the spring of 2003. You walked up to me and rubbed on me like we had always known each other. Every morning you greeted me with a sweet meow and wink. You were such a good cat! What a hunter and porch protector you were. No one was getting past you old boy. Such a big, tough cat with your torn ear and mean eyes and yet you had that little kitten meow that is why we named you Mike Tyson, It was so shocking that we could not help but laugh when you meowed. You and Mr. Bigglesworth were so close we joked about you being life partners and I can see the effect it has had on him now that you are not here. All the cats are effected by your departure as well as us humans. Tyson, We will miss you and loved you so much. The house does not feel the same without you sweet kitty. Tyson M. Wilkowski 2009.
